The education of healthcare professionals is structured through curricula composed of learning activities designed to develop the competencies outlined in the graduate profiles of each discipline. Upon completion of the curriculum, students undertake a period of workplace-based clinical training in healthcare settings, where they integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes acquired throughout their education. This educational model is reflected in the Occupational Therapy curriculum at the University of Chile. The objective is to evaluate the first seven years of the curricular activity on clinical practice reflection groups and analyze the contribution it makes to professional training, which has led to its continuation and development to the present. This is a retrospective study on the training impact of the courses entitled: "Reflection and intervention groups on professional practices". The results indicate a positive evaluation in two key ways: as a means of achieving confidence in professional performance and as a facilitator for achieving optimal communication and interpersonal relationships for personal development. It is concluded that this academic setting provides a foundation for a model of human coexistence grounded in ethical practice, democratic values, and a communicative conception of culture. As an educational experience, it represents a transitional stage between the completion of university education and entry into the professional workforce.
